An Empty Shell
Man’s best efforts to perfect the body will ultimately burn away with the rest of the fallen world, and God will restore everything to greater glory and harmony than anything man could ever devise.

Dun Dun Dun Dun Da-Dun Dun Da-Dun…
Hitler, and the whole Nazi Reich, were the perfect bad guys. Homogeneous (by their own efforts), sharply dressed in intimidating uniforms, a very eye-catching logo and distinct greeting gesture (quite the opposite of “Live Long and Prosper”), and a coldly mechanical and unstoppable war machine bent on global domination *evil laugh.* You can’t write a better fictitious villain or enemy if you tried.

Review – A Time To Die
The government of the United States of the East, where this story takes place, is strict in enforcing (with Enforcers) certain laws of the land, most prominently that individuals must produce their clocks—a physical device that has been coded for them and counts down the years, days, hours, and seconds to their death. Anyone without a clock is branded a Radical and duly punished.

Who Cares About Extraterrestrials?
I certainly have no problem with people who write science fiction. I consider it to be a type of fantasy, though.

Stories And Human Nature
What I find fascinating about these three movies is the theme that runs through them—unlikeable characters depicting marriage as psychological warfare; evil is real and we can’t get rid of it; and “good” removed leaves evil to fend for—and against—itself.

If It’s Fiction . . .
Truth in stories is a tricky thing. On the story-telling level, often referred to as realism, readers need to believe in whatâs taking place.
