1. Galadriel says:

Amen. I have only tried to publish small pieces so far, but I know the basic process is the same in both scenarios.

  2. Quentin says:

I don’t right novels but sometimes I write songs.  I can identify with the hesitancy of sharing what you written for fear of criticism, even though I truthfully desire an honest critique.   Great post Matt.

  3. Carla says:

What a great story, Matt! And I was one of the ones texting you with the great news! And after reading this, I can see why you won. You’re a terrific writer. And your “baby” will grow up and find a home. Praying for your success.

  4. Norma says:

Beautifully written!  I certainly can attest that your babies do grow up and you get to see the fulfillment of promises made.  Excited to see the plans and purposes He has for you, working in you.  Keep up the good work and the Faith!

  5. Maria Tatham says:

Congratulations, Matt! Recognition from your peers is a huge thing.

  6. Well said, Matt. Writing is not an easy job, and neither is opening up ourselves to allow our ‘babies’ to be critiqued. I’m still proud of you for pushing yourself to learn from the judges’ comments, re-entering and winning the Genesis. That was such a fun moment when your name was called. I wish you could have been there. I’m looking forward to the day when you announce that your book has been sold.

  7. Lynne Gentry says:

Taking risks is an expression of faith. Bravo.

  8. Putting ourselves out there is so hard! But yay! God sees the bigger picture when we so often don’t.

(And I was at ACFW last year, but I, ahem, didn’t realize who you were then. Talk about life going full-circle and God-ordained moments!)

Congratulations on your amazing accomplishment, Matt!

    Blessings!
