Episode One of the Star Wars saga was about to release, and I got involved in some online role playing chat rooms. I created a couple female Jedi characters I played regularly. For some reason, I saved many of these chats.

Those text-based roleplaying platforms were the best. I used to play MUDs — a little more structured than chat room roleplay, but still text-only and still playable through a telnet client. I saved transcripts of many RP interactions, too. It was truly epic. You get to be someone awesome, and say epic things, and do great deeds.

Playing the LotR fan MUD Shadows of Isildur was the most fun that I’ve ever had in my life. I gave up MUDs and roleplaying when I had my first faith crisis, because I thought I had to surrender everything to God. I’ve always wanted to get back into roleplaying again some day, but I’ve never been able to. Just as well, as it’s super-addicting, but I still miss it.

    • Oh, they were super-addicting! I miss playing from time to time, too, but writing gives me far more control over all the other characters. ;o) Blessings, my friend! Thanks for sharing your comment!

What a great testimony! And a fascinating journey.

Any plans to release your books in audio format?

    • Hi, sparksofember!

At this time, I’m not sure if an audio version will be created. I know my publisher has many plans in the works. Great question, though! And thank you for your encouraging words. Blessings to you!!

I wish you all the best, and I both commend and applaud your heartfelt commitment to creating a biblical cosmology and worldview background, which is more than I can say for some.  Yes, Soli Deo Gloria!

Excellent, a new book out! Is this the same series as Asylum? I remember when Asylum came out, and you gave me a review copy. I think I left the first review on Amazon. 🙂 Is Poison the same series? I believe Asylum came pretty late in the continuity, right?

    • Hi, Kessie! I remember! Asylum does come very late. It’s actually second to the last in the storyline. The main reason I proceeded with publishing it was it won a contest and a publishing package. With each of my books focusing on a different set of characters, yet remaining in the same story arc, I try to make them stand alone.

Poison is the very start of the entire series. The characters are completely different than those in Asylum. This book (and the rest of the trilogy to follow) sets up the overarching conflict resulting in the circumstances surrounding Asylum. I refer to this trilogy as my “Old Testament.” :o)

Thanks for asking! I hope that clarifies a bit. Blessings to you!
